Besant Nagar is one of Chennai’s neighborhoods, named after Annie Besant. It is bound fully on the east by the Bay of Bengal, on the South by the Kalakshetra Campus, on the North by the Theosophical Society and its sprawling forested green campus. This beach is less polluted when compared to other beaches of Chennai. Ashtalakshmi Temple and Velankanni Church are other attractions of this beach.
